Big
Game Rifle is all about shooting classic, big game rifles
in events that are designed to simulate the traditional uses
of such rifles. |

However,
while some BGR competitors use collectorable firearms from
the late 1800s and early 1900s, the competition rules, in
all events, allow for the use of modern firearms provided
they are configured in "the spirit of the competition".

In
broad terms, this means you can use any bolt action, single
shot, pump action, lever action and double rifle provided
that it is configured as a big game rifle
and is chambered for a cartridge, loaded to a minimum
power factor (see BGR Rules),
for the event in question. |
